Stacey Denyer

Stacey Denyer is a former RAF Flight Sergeant whose 19‑year career in the RAF Police came to an unexpected end after she was medically discharged due to multiple sclerosis and osteoarthritis in her knees.

After facing the physical and emotional impact of sudden illness, Stacey began rebuilding her confidence through adaptive sport, starting with powerlifting and later discovering indoor rowing as part of her rehabilitation. This new chapter led her to represent Team UK at the Invictus Games Düsseldorf 2023, where she competed in both powerlifting and indoor rowing and embraced the opportunity to challenge herself, reconnect with a supportive community, and redefine what her future could look like. Stacey describes the Games as life‑changing, opening doors she once thought were closed and helping her shift from “Can I?” to “How can I?” as she navigated her recovery. Beyond the Games she has continued to shine, breaking multiple British indoor‑rowing records and using her experience to support others as a diversity and inclusion advocate within the military veteran community.
